A White wine (Riesling) from Leasingham in Australia.

Description/Review: If there's anyone out there who can be considered a Riesling freak, it's me! Bone dry or sweetest of the sweet, it makes no difference. I love the minerality, lime citrus flavors, vibrant acidity, and not to mention those tall sexy bottles! Today's Riesling comes from the Clare Valley of Australia which is considered the best region for growing Riesling grapes Down Under. It produces wines very much in the mold of the great Alsatian bottlings. The Leasingham Riesling is NOT sweet! It is dry, dry, dry and possess a razor-edged finish that ends with nary a hint of sugar. (Not that there's anything wrong with that! Hey, we all love ice cream, chocolate, and California Chardonnay, right?) - Erskine

Notes: Dry, sweet, a little fizzy - nice - citrusy. 5-16-2009
