2008 Willm Prinot Gris Reserve

A White wine (Pinot Gris) from The Willm Vineyard in France.

Description/Review: Crisp White from Alsace. Lovely intense nose of ripe fruit, notes of quince; full bodied, with a touch of honey and stone fruit; delicious. - Pairings 2-26-2011 Label: This French wine is made entirely from Pinot Gris grapes grown in the Alsace region. Pinot Gris is a round flavorful dry white wine with a broad buttery character and is excellent alternative to Chardonnay. Serve it with fish, fowl, turkey, cheeses and foods with rich sauces.

Notes: I got buttery and honey. More smooth than crisp. Amazingly different than the Pinot Gris we tasted just before from Oregon!
